Sports Project

This program is designed to develop the interest of the children in a range of sports and increase their skill base.
Our voluntary sports coaching projects allows the volunteer opportunities to coach and also partake in football, basketball, net ball teams and other creative physical activities.
In addition to the obvious physical and mental benefits that regular exercise provides, there are many inherent life-skills to be learned, such as the importance of team-work, coordination, communication, discipline and alertness

The program will generally involve physical training, teaching the children how to work as a team, bringing the best out of the players and also giving the children more self-confidence. Football (soccer),basketball etc is extremely popular in Togo (as it is in most African countries) and therefore volunteers are encouraged to introduce different sports to the children.
This project has been set because HAC-TOGO wants to use sports and fitness to promote peace, unity and development among schools within our various communities and tribes in the country.
However football basketball training can still play a large role in the program and generally matches will be arranged between volunteer team and other teams from the neighboring villages.

OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

Developing passion in sports like football, basketball, volleyball, beachball etc among schools and community kids.
Assists in training drills, coordinating skills and organizing competitions among sports men and women for a better Togo
